Televised Islamic remembrance on SBC 3 and Radyo Sesel |08 January 2021

The National Muslim Council of Seychelles (NMCS) is pleased to announce that provisions have been made for the broadcast of the Friday Khutbah (Sermon) on national radio and television.

The Sermons will be aired at 1:00pm every Friday as from today, January 8, 2021, until further notice.

The pre-recorded video will be shown on SBC 3 andthe soundtrack will also be carried on Radyo Sesel at the same time.

The arrangements follow in the wake of the restrictions imposed on religious gatherings in the context of the mandatory measures declared by the Public Health Authority to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the community at large.

NMCS is grateful to the SBC for its cooperation and assistance in enabling the broadcasts.

All Muslims are encouraged to remain patient and steadfast while we are asked to stay away from the masjids (mosques) during these challenging times.
