- Professor Dennis Hardy is the new chairperson of the UniSey council
Joëlle Perreau is the new vice-chancellor of the University of Seychelles and professor Dennis Hardy is the new chairperson of the council.
Miss Perreau becomes the fifth vice-chancellor of the University of Seychelles (UniSey) and succeeds Justin Valentin who was named Minister for Education in the new Cabinet of President Wavel Ramkalawan’s administration.
Miss Perreau has been employed with UniSey since its inception in 2010. She has contributed vastly to the development of programmes, teaching and quality assurance of the university. In 2015, she joined the UniSey leadership cadre, as the head of programme, which she was then promoted to dean of faculty. Her experience, honesty, passion and commitment to UniSey will see the institution move from strength to strength.
The chancellor has also appointed professor Dennis Hardy as the new chairperson of the UniSey council.
Professor Hardy is the third vice-chancellor of UniSey and his commitment to the institution has remained even after his retirement, through various contributions that he has made. His knowledge of the institution and experience in the university sector makes him the ideal candidate for the post.
All appointments are effective from January 1, 2021.
