The three Hilton Seychelles hotels – Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa, Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa and DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles Allamanda Resort & Spa – recently joined forces for good and spent a day bringing the festive spirit to the St Elizabeth’s Convent children’s home with donations and cookies.

Led by general managers Andre Borg and Daniele Fabbri, the group brought a washing machine, curtains for 21 children’s rooms and Christmas cookies to improve the comfort at the St Elizabeth’s Convent as well as spreading the holy joy of the month with warm cookies and warm wishes.

The initiative forms part of Hilton’s corporate responsibility programme and The Hilton Effect, which is the positive, world-altering impact that Hilton has had, and continues to have, on billions of lives and thousands of communities around the globe – pioneering new travel markets and bringing people and cultures together to make the world feel smaller, while expanding horizons and opportunities.

“Hilton has become woven into the history, economies and infrastructure of communities all over the world, becoming indispensable focal points in the process – building roads out of nothing to develop remote areas of Nigeria, transforming the London skyline, revitalising deserted docks in Buenos Aires and helping Sri Lanka survive and thrive during a civil war. Here in Seychelles, we represent and support the community that we live in and continue to spread the warmth of hospitality,” Daniele Fabbri, general manager of Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa said.

Hilton Group in Seychelles also made it clear that the donations will keep flowing to those in need from all three hotels.

Sister Rosaline from St Elizabeth’s Convent welcomed the initiative and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Seychelles Hilton Hotels for choosing St Elizabeth’s to make the donation.

She said the staff and residents are always grateful for such initiatives and she highly encouraged the other enterprises in private sector to do the same and support the communities that they live in.

Andre Borg, general manager of Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa, expressed his vision towards this initiative: “Seychelles has been home to Hilton for a long time and it’s our responsibility to give back to the community that always supports us. A core part of The Hilton Effect work is to support our communities around the world through both good times and bad.”
