Hospital gets over R3m worth of equipment from Laxmanbhai

 

The Ministry of Health yesterday received donations worth R3,207,230 from construction firm Laxmanbhai aimed at responding to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The donations were made by Ravji Raghvani, managing director of Laxmanbhai, to the chief executive of the Health Care Agency, Dr Danny Louange.

The handover ceremony took place at the Sheikh Khalifa Diagnostic Centre.

The donations consist of 12 perfusion pumps at the cost of US $15 856; one ventilator at the cost of US $34,147; 43 hospital beds at the cost of US $95 147; 100 infrared thermometers at the cost of US $6,740 and 2 patient monitors at the cost of US $26,290. The total cost of the donations in Seychelles rupees amounts to R3,207,230.

Dr Louange thanked the company for such a generous and useful contribution and noted that this is in preparation to open up the country to more tourists.

“We also thank all the donors for their contributions towards our common fight,” he added.
