Customers of the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) will now benefit from a new Customer Care Centre located at the Providence roundabout.

The new centre was officially opened yesterday.

Speaking to the press, Michel Zialor, the chief commercial officer (CCO) for PUC, stated that the providence branch is located in an ideal area as the bus stop is close by and the centre has an adequate parking facility.

He added that the centre will provide the same type of service as in Victoria and at other branches.

This is the fifth customer service centre that PUC has opened in an effort to decentralise its services in the Victoria branch.

“In line with the Covid-19 measures this will help customers keep social distancing as adequate space is available and the service is faster as well,” said Mr Zialor.

The CCO also added that they did not have to hire additional staff as they already had experienced and well-seasoned workers already on hand.

When asked what PUC will do to advertise the new centre Mr Zialor said it will use its website and social media pages as well as having PUC staff sensitise customers on all the available branches they can use.

For the time being the centre employs three cashiers and two customer agents. They are open Monday to Friday from 8.15am to 4pm.
