African swine fever: NBA suspends pork importation from Belgium |05 July 2019

The National Biosecurity Agency has temporarily suspended all pork importation from Belgium until the African swine fever affecting European countries is put under control and cleared.

A number of local businessmen are importing a good amount of pork meat for local consumption from Belgium, the National Biosecurity Agency (NBA) has said.

The African swine fever situation is gradually escalating from one state to another in Europe.
