Technical staff of the Seychelles Ports Authority now have the capacity to prepare project plans after following a one-day workshop.

The training was initiated by the Seychelles Ports Authority (SPA) investment committee which is chaired by the deputy chief executive Dr Egbert Moustache and facilitated by the director for strategies, David Bianchi. The objective is to ensure that once projects are submitted for approval, they have been thoroughly researched, analysed and justified to ensure their future success.

During the launch SPA’s chief executive Ronny Brutus stated “upon my appointment as CEO in April 2019, I highlighted the fact that the most valuable asset of any organisation is no other than its manpower. The SPA prides itself as one of the few organisations which upholds this principle of human resource as the cornerstone of its development and success”.

Those who have followed the training are now better equipped and are expected to apply their new knowledge in the preparation of SPA project proposals.

SPA intends to continue with similar trainings to empower its staff with better technical abilities that will assist them in their daily duties.
