ANB seizes approximately 27g of suspected heroin |23 September 2020

Officers of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau (ANB) of the Seychelles Police Force has managed to seize approximately 27 grammes of suspected heroin in the possession of a 17-year-old male fruit and vegetable vendor residing at Union Vale.
While attempting to arrest the suspect yesterday at Corgat Estate, the ANB officers were obstructed by bystanders who used machete, knife and other weapons to threaten the officers, causing the suspect to escape from the scene. Witnesses who were present at the scene are being asked to come forward and provide information to ANB in order to locate and arrest the suspect.

Members of the public are reminded that obstructing and threatening a police officer is a serious offence.
