Police refute black list allegation by Ramesh Naidoo

The police have categorically refuted allegation that they have a blacklist with people’s names on.

Former tax officer Ramesh Naidoo made this statement during Wednesday morning’s Truth, Reconciliation and National Unity Commission (TRNUC) hearing session.

What the police, however, keep, as is the case worldwide, are records or a database of past convicts, all previous convictions of persons be it criminal or traffic.

The police say they do not have any such thing as a blacklist.
