Male causal worker of Beau Bel released on bail bound of R15,000 |20 June 2020

● CID investigates another case of ANB officer being threatened

 

The Magistrate Court yesterday ordered the release of a 29-year-old male casual worker of Beau Bel, Bel Ombre who was arrested in possession of approximately 260 grammes of suspected cannabis resin (hashish), on Wednesday June 17, 2020, at his home by officers of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau (ANB) of the Seychelles Police Force.

He has been released on a bail bound of R15,000 and ordered to make himself available at any time when he is needed by the ANB, plus he is not to interfere with any witness in this ongoing case. He will reappear before the court on July 3, 2020.

In a separate incident the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the Seychelles Police Force is investigating another case regarding one male ANB officer who in the presence of his family was threatened by two men from the Pointe Larue district on Wednesday June 17, 2020 at a shop at Nageon Estate.

The two men were on the same day arrested for committing the offence of threatening a police officer and were released yesterday while the case is being investigated.
