Paul and Rachel found their life partnership in an elderly home
Paul and Rachel from the Home for the Elderly at La Retraite saw their lifelong dream coming true last Saturday, only one day after Valentine’s Day celebration.
Paul’s wish for many years was to find the right lady for him to settle down with. At 64 years of age, this silver lining appeared to be getting further and further out of reach for him.
Rachel on the other hand, born in Kenya of Seychellois parents, had always told everyone who asked that she would not marry in Kenya. Instead she would marry a Seychellois man one day. The family believed in Rachel, so they sat back and waited. Lo and behold, though admittedly there was a bit of waiting, Rachel and Paul met and the rest is history! February 15, 2020 is a day that Rachel and Paul became Mr and Mrs Faure, a day they will cherish forever.
Rachel and Paul met at the Home for the Elderly of La Retraite. They celebrated their special day in front of family and friends, some of whom travelled long distances to be present. Among the well-wishers present to witness this happy occasion were Family Affairs Minister Mitcy Larue; Jamshed Pardiwalla, chairperson of the National Council for the Disabled; PS for Family Affairs, Marie-Josée Bonne; friends from the Home for the Elderly at La Retraite and staff members.
We extend our heartfelt wishes to Mr and Mrs Faure for a long life with all the happiness in the world.
Dreams do come true at a later age..!
