Air Mauritius is to resume its service to Seychelles on Tuesday July 2

Air Mauritius is to resume its service to Seychelles on Tuesday July 2 with an inaugural flight landing on Mahé Island at 11:10hrs.

After 15 years of absence, the Mauritius based carrier will operate every Tuesday with its A319-100, leaving Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, Port Louis at 08:35hrs. The short-haul flight will land at the Seychelles International Airport on Mahé at 11:10hrs and depart at 12:00hrs

Its next flight is scheduled to leave Mauritius on Friday at 22:30hrs and reaching Seychelles in the early hours of Saturday at 01:10hrs. This flight will then leave at 02.20hrs.

According to provisions of the Bilateral Air Service Agreement between the two island States, the flight is aimed at meeting the increasing demand for air travel from Seychelles to Mauritius and vice versa. This is also expected to further promote bilateral and economic cooperation in the region.

In line with the agreement the airline can also operate with its A330-200, A330-900 neo as well as its A340-300 or the A350-900 depending on technical or commercial issues.

The A319-100, the main aircraft for this two and half hour journey between the archipelagos, has 16 business class and 108 economy seats.

It is worth noting that Air Seychelles’ scheduled services to and from Mauritius is on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, leaving the Seychelles International Airport at 10:30hrs and returning at 19:35 hrs.
