Pakistan navy ships on goodwill visit |16 January 2020

Two Pakistan navy ships – Moawin with a Seaking 16 helicopter and Aslat with an Alouette-36 helicopter onboard – are in Port Victoria on a four-day goodwill visit.

The ships’ visit, from January 14 to 17, 2020, is in connection with ‘overseas deployment on goodwill cruise’ with a view to strengthening the already existing friendly relations between the Republic of Seychelles and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Dr Syed Rizwan Ahmed, high commissioner of Pakistan and the Commander of the Mission along with the captains of the two ships will call on several high dignitaries of the Republic of Seychelles and government officials, during their stay in Seychelles.

The ships will remain open for the public today, Thursday January 16, 2020 from 1200 to 1600hours.

In addition, various activities have been planned which include friendly sports fixtures, visit by students to the ship and visit to orphanage/home for the elderly and the school for children with special needs.

The goodwill visit of the Pakistan navy ships will certainly further enhance the friendly bilateral relations between the two countries.

Besides, the visit will enable Pakistani navy officers to interact with their Seychelles counterparts on matters of mutual interest.
