Eradicating polio across the globe is one of the main objectives of Rotary International besides many community projects on water, sanitation, literacy, etc. Except for two countries namely Afghanistan and Pakistan, the polio virus has been eradicated. Yet, the polio vaccination should be consistently given to children all around the world. All the Rotary Clubs in the whole world raise funds and send to Rotary International to boost its Polio Plus Fund for such polio virus eradication.
Meanwhile, the Rotary Club of Victoria, a golden jubilee club in service in Seychelles, has been doing many community projects in the country for many years and it raises funds through such activities as the famous Christmas lottery. The club has got another merits by having two past district governors of the Rotary District 9220 namely Suketu Patel and V. J. Patel. The third in the row to have a district governor from this club is Rajasundaram who represents seven countries of the Rotary District 9220 in Zone 22 of Rotary International.
