SSPA refutes statement made in a recent hearing

The Security Service Providers Association (SSPA) has refuted a statement made before the Truth, Reconciliation and National Unity Commission by Roger Teeroomooljee on October 16, 2019, in which he said that Dobin Samson was linked directly or was a director of the security firm which has been awarded the security contract at the Seychelles International Airport.

In a communiqué, the SSPA writes:

“The SSPA would like to inform the public and the media that the statement is false and misleading.

“General Security Agency is the security firm that was awarded the contract and it is owned and managed by Arnold Germain, a former police officer.

“Dobin Samson is not a business partner nor a shareholder in General Security Agency and is not linked in any way to Mr Arnold Germain.

“SSPA believes that this kind of false statement is tarnishing the image of one of its members and that of the industry in general.

“We recognise the good work being carried out by the Truth, Reconciliation and National Unity Commission and hope that those who are invited to speak before the commission, do so truthfully, in a professional and responsible manner so as not to damage the image and reputation of a person.”
