Victoria 250 years - On September 24, 1804

On September 24, 1804, the second capitulation of Seychelles to the British took place. The capitulation treaty was signed by Commandant Jean-Baptiste Quéau de Quincy and Captain M. Wood aboard the ‘Concorde’. The terms of the capitulation were favourable to the Colony. All conditions proposed were agreed upon except that the British took possession of a brig ‘Zephyr’ which had arrived at Mahé, the day before.
