Seychelles team in Rwanda for return leg match |09 September 2019

The Seychelles football team are in Rwanda for the preliminary round return leg match of the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

The team coached by Dutchman Jan Mak left on Saturday for Rwanda.

Seychelles hosted the Amavubis of Rwanda in the first leg match last Thursday at Stad Linite and lost 0-3. Muhadjiri Hakizimana scored the opening goal just after the half-hour mark before Yannick Mukunzi added the second in the 36th minute to put the Amavubi on the top in the first half of the tie. Meddie Kagere scored the third goal within 10 minutes before the final whistle to help Rwanda take a big step towards progressing to the group stage of the qualifiers.

The return leg match is set to be played in Kigali tomorrow and the Seychelles delegation is expected back home of September 12.

Unfortunately Sports NATION could not get hold of the list of players and officials who make up the Seychelles delegation.
