Emirates introduces online check-in for Seychelles |18 July 2017
Emirates has introduced online check-in for the Seychelles market. Customers can now check-in on both desktop and mobile devices from 48 hours to 90 minutes before flight departure.
When checking in online on www.emirates.com, residents of Seychelles and returning tourists will be prompted to enter their travel information and will be able to select their seats from among those available at the time of check-in. Once the check-in process has been completed, passengers will be provided an online check-in receipt.
On the day of their flight, they can then proceed to a dedicated counter at the Seychelles International Airport to check-in their luggage and exchange their online check-in receipt for boarding passes.
“We continuously strive to improve our services and the overall experience of travelling. We are sure that travellers from Seychelles as well as tourists visiting the archipelago will enjoy choosing their preferred seats online and check-in for their flights from the comfort of their homes, hotels or offices”, stated OomarRamtoola, Emirates’ manager for the Indian Ocean Islands.
“The online check-in not only offers customers flexibility in choosing their seats, but reduces waiting times at the airport”, added Mr Ramtoola. Checking-in online will also allow users to benefit from other products and benefits such as the Skywards upgrade, whenever applicable.
Emirates has increased its mobile presence with the The Emirates App for iPhone and Android. The Emirates App features push notifications for check-in, flight boarding, gate changes, and baggage belt numbers, greatly improving the travel experience by proactively alerting customers to critical travel information.
The double-daily service on the Seychelles route is operated by two Boeing 777s. Emirates in-flight entertainment is highly popular with Seychellois travellers; ice features over 2,500 channels of entertainment, including the latest blockbuster movies, award-winning television box sets, live TV, music and computer games.
