Through the mists of history … SHELL Fuel Service Station |16 January 2017

Television

Television came to Silhouette island on Saturday August 27, 1983, almost seven months after RTS (Radio Television Seychelles) the former name of SBC, had been launched on Mahé. That was when two RTS technicians installed a 20 inch TV screen and its aerial and a video cassette recorder at La Passe School. The population of Seychelles fourth largest island was then 241 inhabitants, including 61 school children.
