12 SPDF officers promoted |06 January 2017

A group of twelve officers of the Seychelles People’s Defence Forces (SPDF) were promoted yesterday by President Danny Faure in his capacity as the new Commander in Chief of the SPDF.

The ceremony, held at the Seychelles Defence Academy (SDA) on Ile Perseverance, coincided with the Commander in Chief’s annual New Year visit to the SPDF.

Lieutenant Colonel George Adeline was promoted to the rank of Colonel while Captain Daniel Arrisol, Captain Didace Hoareau and Captain Jude Raoul received the rank of Major.

Meanwhile Lieutenant Daniel Rosine and Lieutenant Allain Pierre became Captain, while Second Lieutenant Mervin Esparon, Second Lieutenant Warren Andre and Second Lieutenant Gerard Wong-Pool were promoted to Lieutenant.

Non-commissioned officer (NCO) Francis Mirabeau was commissioned to be a Lieutenant while Dave Renaud and Elvis Nourrice were commissioned to be Second Lieutenant.
