National Show 2016 - Eco-friendly T-shirt with a difference |28 June 2016

COCO Seychelles is a newly launched business printing eco-friendly T-shirts with a difference. Tired of seeing the same kind of T-shirts available in Seychelles for the tourists, with artists using the same techniques and not really paying attention to the kind of chemicals involved in the production which can harm the environment, COCO Seychelles decided to come up with a T-shirt with a difference.

Christian Moise, marketing officer of COCO Seychelles, explains:

“We have found a process where we can produce T-shirts which will not affect the environment. The designs are hand-drawn, they are 100% organic cotton; low impact quarter-based ink and made of recycled products,” says Christian, adding they are a green company, the reason for their green logo.

“Because we care about the environment and at the same time what we showcase in our T-shirts is something different,” he added.

Christian says COCO Seychelles has come up with something a bit modern, “in a way that we express our interest to tourists and to locals”.

The T-shirts, he remarked, are not of a heavy product; it’s light and it’s made in Seychelles for Seychelles. Even the stamps represent something that is unique to Seychelles. Even for packaging, COCO Seychelles uses a sleek eco-friendly paper box for that purpose.

COCO Seychelles markets its products through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. It also has a website.

COCO Seychelles sells online as it considers it cheaper and there’s no need for  store front. They offer a delivery service after receiving an order.

“Another fantastic thing about COCO Seychelles is a customer does not have to use their cards. They place an order and COCO Seychelles delivers the next day,” said Christian.

Regarding visibility, COCO Seychelles is letting people know they exist.

“And National Day is helping us getting the word out,” he remarked.
