Cyberwave Computing 2000 - Over 200 graduate in IT courses |28 June 2016

 

More than 200 students who have followed different courses offered by Cyberwave Computing 2000 have received their certificates.

The certificate presentation ceremony took place last Saturday at the International Conference Centre in the presence of the vice-chancellor of the University of Seychelles Professor Dennis Hardy and Mario Rotolo, director of Cyberwave Computing 200.

Cyberwave Computing 2000 is an institution that provides technological education to people of all ages. The institution opened its doors in 1999 with a vision to provide quality ICT training at an affordable price.

People from different work places and individuals attended different courses such as GIS and AutoCAD, Graphics and Website Design, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel, Microsoft Access and Power Point and Publisher and Typing.

Congratulating the graduates, Mr Rotolo said this is but a stepping stone for more success in their professional lives.

“The students have given their precious time to study at Cyberwave Computing 2000. We need to support those students who have been rewarded with skills which are recognised internationally,” he said.

He also noted his satisfaction at seeing some people coming to the courses from nowhere and at the end getting a certificate that will help them in securing a good job.

Professor Hardy pointed out that having the knowledge it IT will benefit the students in many ways.

“Many of you today have achieved success by being awarded with such a certificate. Nowadays to be able to progress in life, you need IT skills and knowledge,” he said.

Derrick Tamatave was rewarded with the best overall award at the certificate ceremony. He received his award from Prof. Hardy.

Many work organisations took part in the courses such as the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC), Seychelles Land Transport Agency (SLTA), SFM Offshores, Indian Ocean Tuna (IOT); Intelvision, police department, among other governmental organisations.
