VP rewards retirees on Public Service Day |24 June 2016

Nine retiring public servants with very long years of service were yesterday received by Vice-President Danny Faure at State House.

It has become customary for Vice-President Faure, who holds the Public Administration portfolio, to personally receive retiring public servants to congratulate them and present them with a small token of appreciation and gratitude.

Yesterday’s early morning reception at State House was special as it coincided with International Public Service Day.

The longest serving public servant in the group was recently retired commissioner of police Ernest Quatre who has clocked 49 years of service.

Ronny Moustache, also a police officer, has clocked 45 years, Willy William from the Department of Public Administration 45 years, Josephine Freminot from the Ministry of Education 43 years, health professional Marie-Ange Denis 43 years, Jessleen Cecile from the Ministry of Education 38 years, Noella Shamlaye from the Department of Public Administration 37 years, Marcel Nicette from the Ministry of Education 34 years and Alex Jacob, also from the Ministry of Education, 29 years.
