CWS supports the circus |06 February 2016

Cable & Wireless (CWS) has sponsored to the tune of US $4,000 to the Magic Circus of Samoa following the signing of an agreement on Thursday afternoon.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) took place at Sunshine House, Providence by the CWS human resource administration director Thomas Dauban and ring master Bruno Tupa-I on behalf of the circus.

It took place in the presence of the CWS chief executive Charles Hammond, staff members of CWS and representatives of the circus.

Under this agreement CWS will provide all the crew members of the circus with telecom services such as packages for local and international calls, internet access and help with marketing purposes.

The CWS is one of the main sponsors and the exclusive telecommunication partner providing its services during the circus.

This is in line with CWS strategy as a company to help with projects that have a direct impact on the community.

The circus also provided CWS with 200 tickets to bring children living in orphanages to watch the show.

The public relations executive Albert Duncan said: “We are very confident that the circus will bring happiness to everybody in the community especially the kids and the kids within us.”

Mr Dauban said: “CWS is in telecom but we also bring entertainment to the Seychellois and to be in partnership with an entertainment company not only for the adults but for the children will bring a lot of happiness.”

Mr Tupa-I has reassured that the circus will be different this time with new exciting surprises.

“The circus is something very special, it creates incredibly happy moments and memories that last a lifetime… you cannot have any problems when you are in the show, they are left outside,” he said.

He thanked CWS for the sponsorship and said, “Every little bit helps because it is a very expensive operation to bring a circus. We have 35 people in our show whom we have to fly here, accommodate and feed and of course we are so happy to bring such an incredible attraction from the 7 billion people on our planet and this is the tallest man of those people and it’s really amazing to see him.”

Meanwhile preparations have already started at the Freedom Square to host the circus.
