Anmenn Mwan, a special gift from Joseph Sinon |28 May 2015

Are you wondering what to give your friend, relative who are overseas or anybody you care so much for?
Joseph Sinon, alias Pa Tous Tous, has the perfect gift for you. And this is his new album entitled Anmenn Mwan.

For some time now, Joseph Sinon has been busy putting the final touches to a new 10-track album which took two years to complete.

The special gift from Joseph Sinon hit the market two weeks and includes a variety of sega, moutya, kanmtole songs. These kinds of music, he said, reflect the title of the package.

Joseph said it has been his dream to do such a project and the public demand has also been behind him to come up with such a gift.

“I wanted to make an album that will touch the Seychellois people, make them think about the old days. Make them think about every choice they make in life, and always to make a better choice,” said Joseph.

The lyrics, Joseph said, are based on true events of our cultural heritage and the album is a way of giving more value to our traditional music.
Joseph has also used traditional musical instruments to add the real traditional touch to his songs.

“I think this is something that members of the public will appreciate and it will be another choice for them,” said the well-known comedian.

Other local singers like Elijah, Ruben, Regi, Joenise Juliette, Jakim, Anna Rose, Antoinette Dodin, Jemina, Shira, Virna, Ion Kid and the Tanmi band also feature on the album.

According to Joseph the album’s official launch will be during a mega show at the Espace building on Friday May 29 starting at 8pm. Tickets costing R100 are on sale at Ray’s Music Room, Maki Shop and the National Arts Council.
