Something new in this year’s carnival |25 April 2015

Seychelles will for the first time welcome the Double Trouble Rampage carnival party in this fifth Carnaval International de Victoria organised by the Hype production this evening at Freedom square.

The event was presented at a press conference at the Seychelles Tourism Board’s (STB) headquarters in the Espace building yesterday by international artists, DJs, promoters and sponsors. Present were STB chief executive Officer Sherin Naiken, ISPC chief executive Alfred Fourcroy, Heineken manager Wahez Dahoo, Mike One, Dj Moses,  and Dj Ezy D.

Mr Fourcroy said ISPC is very proud to take part in one of the major events in the Seychelles.

“We are very happy to support a major event which is the concert with international stars. There are not many international stars coming to Seychelles so we are very proud and thankful to bring Mike to entertain. So everybody has to be at the Freedom Square from 9pm tonight for the big show,” he said.

ISPC and Heineken have sponsored music artists for years, and they have seized the opportunity to bring international stars so that they will offer a unique experience for the public.

“It is going to be hot and animated,” added Mr Fourcroy.
Mr Dahoo added that he hopes the event takes the carnival to another level and like the years before it will be a success.
“Where there is Heineken, there is always success,” he pointed out.

DJ Mike One who is from France has taken part in various other big international events such as the ‘Carnaval des Antilles’ and ‘Carnaval de France’. Therefore he feels that he is ready for the Carnaval International de Victoria.

“I will bring originality and a new style as well as my musical influence in the Seychelles. I will also share my experience which I gained worldwide to other DJs so I’m very excited to play among other DJs and artists here. What we have for the moment is various types of music which will entertain everyone and we are here to demonstrate the international hype. My style of music varies so I want everybody moving. I hope that the music connects the people to bring love, respect and energy,” he said

Moses who is straight from London and has worked with UK artist Labrinth and also Tinie Temple, said he is very happy to be here in Seychelles.
“I’m looking forward to the events of the carnival. I’ll be on stage hyping it, with Ezy D and Mike as well. It’s going to be big, so just be there,” he said.

There will be two more DJs – Dj Shero and Dj Tama – who will be taking part in the event along with local artists such as Jahkim and Champion.
The show starts at 6pm and will go on till the early hours in the morning.
