Each stand exhibited a list of vacancies and those who are seeking employment could  fill in application forms which were readily available at the various stands.

The Minister for Labour and Human Resource Development Idith Alexander, her principal secretary Veronique Bresson and the chief executive of ANHRD (Agency for National Human Resource Development) Margaret Pillay, toured the various stands and interacted with the officials there.

As for the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC), they are one of the organisations that have a training and development unit which train personnel in various fields related to the organisation like for desalination operators; maintenance of pumps; preservation of pumps. The organisation works closely with post secondary institutions especially the Seychelles Institute of Technology where they recruit lots of young school leavers.

As for the ministry itself, it had stand giving information on how to apply for a job, the documents one must bring along when applying and that generally job seekers should apply through a private employment agency like Job Plus, Heg Employment Agency or SMS.

A list of minimum wages and the hours of work related to them were also put at the public’s disposal by the ministry.
