The police have reported that a 27-year-old man from Pointe Larue, suspect in six different cases of house breaking and stealing from dwelling house appeared before the Magistrate Court this week and has been remanded until December 29, 2014 when he will re-appear before court.

A 30-year-old man from La Misère also appeared before the Magistrate Court this week and has been remanded until December 29, 2014 when he will re-appear before Court. The man is suspect in a stealing case which occurred on September 26, 2014.

The captains and chief engineers of both Iranian vessels – Maliki and Maoulla – which were caught by the Coast Guard in Seychelles waters earlier this week have been remanded until December 30.

The four suspects in a case of illegal fishing appeared before the court yesterday morning. 

The 32 other crew members, 16 from each vessel, remain on board under police surveillance.
