Special mass to mark Defence Forces Day |21 November 2014

A special mass at Ste Theresa’s Church at Plaisance tomorrow will kick start activities to commemorate the Defence Forces Day on November 25.
The mass, which will be led by Seychelles People’s Defence Forces (SPDF) personnel, will start at 9am.

Major Jean Attala, the SPDF’s public relations officer, is calling on members of the public to come in large numbers to pray and support our men and women in uniform.

Like every year on the commemorative date, November 25, there will be the wreath-laying ceremony at the Victory Monument at the Seychelles International Airport.

Members of the SPDF will also be taking part in different activities in the community and these will include cleaning three homes for the elderly -- at Anse Boileau, Au Cap and Union Vale.

The annual inter unit sports day is also on the programme where the public is also being urged to come and give their usual support and encourage the men and women in uniform.
