Rotary supports organisations in drug fight |24 October 2014

Three organisations have benefited from a cash donation from the Rotary Club Coco de Mer Victoria to help them in their fight against drugs in Seychelles.

Care (Committee for Awareness, Resilience and Education against substance abuse), Les Canelles Wellness Centre and Centre D’Accueille de La Rosière are the three organisation that have benefited from a cheque for R50,000 each to help them in their future plans for the work they are doing.

It was the club’s president Dinaz Van der Laus who handed out the cheques to representatives of the organisations in a small ceremony last week at the Petrolina Restaurant at the Seychelles Petroleum Company headquarters.

She said as Seychelles is striving hard to make it a drug-free country, we said why not donate to these three organisations who are in the forefront of the fight against drugs in the country.

She took the opportunity to  hand over 2500 brochures to Miss Seychelles ... Another World 2014 Camilla Estico to help her in her project ‘Healthy living’ which is aimed at educating young people about healthy eating and combatting obesity in children.
