“I would like to congratulate the dinamic couple Jon and Barbara for partnering with the Sri Lankans to open this shop. It is also a great honour and pleasure for me as it is the first shop I open since my appointment as the high commissioner of Sri Lanka,” Mr Piyatissa said.

Zigo mobile is a United Arab Emirates own brand, the company is Serendib ventures FZC, and there are regional offices in Sharjah UAE, Sri Lanka and Shenzhen China. Zigo has mobiles, tabs, android tabs and accessories.

“As a mobile brand we always try to connect people who want to share their lives through our devices, and I would like to say that we are the second largest mobile vendor in Sri Lanka,” Mr Fernando said.

Thanking everyone present Mr Wybrow said: “We are excited today to share with you a range of products that we feel can change the market here in Seychelles, making good quality latest technology available to everyone. We started this journey a year ago with the referral from our good friend Vipul to our partners in Sri Lanka, and we were impressed from the start with their commitment to quality and after sales services.”

The prices range from R349 to R4399. The shop also provides after sale service whereby spare parts will be available for any damage. An interesting offer available is that every phone purchased there will have a free sim card with 25 minutes talking time and 50 mega bytes of data.
