UniSey students to help out in employee satisfaction survey |01 October 2014

The Agency for National Human Resource Development (ANHRD) has selected employees from different organisations to take part in a national employee satisfaction and engagement survey in Seychelles.

This forms part of the agency’s human resource award, now in its second year.

This year 16 organisations have expressed their desire to take part. The assessment of organisations for the award includes a management presentation on the company’s HR systems and process. Information gathered from such presentations are then verified on location within the company. Data is further triangulated through the use of employee engagement and satisfaction surveys.

In its endeavour to ensure utmost credibility of the award, the ANHRD has this year recruited the services of 11 students from the University of Seychelles (UniSey) who are currently doing their Bachelor in Business Administration. This will allow a greater percentage of employees from each organisation to be covered.

The objectives of this survey are to improve human resource practices in the country. The students are visiting mainly organisations from the large parastatal category for data collection through questionnaires.

Such activity has a basic influence on the students whereby it is in relation with the course they are studying and with the research components in place, this will boost their experience and help mold these future professionals.

“It is our belief that the involvement of the UniSey students will give more credibility to the results of our survey. This activity aligns perfectly with the value of teamwork, whereby these students will be working in effective teams to obtain the required results,” a spokesperson for the ANHRD said.
