Air Seychelles’ chairman & chief executive, Captain David Savy, said : “ The arrival of the third Boeing 767 aircraft will enable the national airline to expand its regional network as the opening up of the new Bangkok operation is in line with our corporate strategic plan to consolidate existing markets and target such markets such as South East Asia. With a number of new exciting hotel projects opening up and Seychelles now well established as a 5-star product with 5-star properties, we have to respond to the market.”
Meanwhile, Air Seychelles has also announced that it will be adding a third service to Italy with a weekly service to Milan as from January 12, 2008. The airline in collaboration with its preferred partner, Air France, will operate an additional flight to Paris Charles de Gaulle departing on Mondays, which will see a total of six weekly flights to the French capital.
Captain Savy explained that by operating to Milan, Air Seychelles is offering more direct access to northern Italy and southern cities in Germany and even regions of Switzerland.
“Those are exciting times for our country and we in air Seychelles have to do our part in making sure Seychelles is well served,” he said.
