Football-Rose strikes deal in Vietnam

ROSE … ready to make it big in Vietnam

Before leaving for Vietnam, Rose told Sports Nation that “I’m ready to give my very best. I want to play football at a higher level and make my hobby (playing football) my career. This is probably my best chance to realise the dream. I’m looking forward to train in Vietnam and hopefully my trial will be a successful one.”

The fact that Rose will begin his professional career on Sunday proves that he made a good impression during his two-week trial with Gach Dong Tam Long An, who finished with a record of 12 wins, two draws and eight defeats in 22 matches for 38 points.

According to the same source, Rose has been loaned by Gach Dong Tam Long An to a first division side and is expected to make his debut on Sunday.

It is to note that the Vietnam Football Federation wrote to the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) requesting an international transfer for Rose. With Anse Réunion agreeing to release their prized asset, the SFF gave Rose the green light to ply his trade in Vietnam.

Yelvanny’s trial in Vietnam, it is worth noting, was made possible by Brazilian coach Walter Da Silva, who used to coach Anse Réunion.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai won the V-League championship with 46 points after 14 wins, four draws and four defeats. Sông Da Nam Dinh finished as runners-up with 13 wins, five draws and four defeats for 44 points.
