SeyPearl Relaunch - Locally made soft drinks get new look |28 September 2017
Seychelles Breweries Ltd (SBL) has rebranded its famous SeyPearl carbonated soft drinks to represent a modern celebration of local, unique, natural and fruity flavour.
The commercial director of SBL, Daphne Raoul, launched the products yesterday at the brewery’s O’Brien House in the presence of customers, distributors and staff members of SBL.
During a short presentation led by brand manager for SeyBrew and SeyPearl Muriel Morgan she said that the SeyPearl which was a symbol of the Seychellois lifestyle was launched in November 1972 and they were first available in glass bottles until the pet was introduced later on.
During a research held in November 2016 they discovered that the consumers felt the labels were old and boring, the look did not reflect the true flavour inside the bottle and the brand was one of the past.
The soft drinks which include orangeade, bitter lemon, soda water, tonic water and cocktail de fruits will be within customers’ reach in two weeks’ time.
However it will be available at Regatta this weekend with a special promotion which includes SeyPearl tokens such as bags, cups, balls, sunglasses and so much more.
SBL will have a bigger presence in this year’s Regatta event with a SeyBrew beach hut, a SeyPearl stall, a SeyBrew stall and a Johnnie Walker experience.
Ms Raoul said to better serve modern consumers, they should have a modern look.
“We have grown with SeyPearl, we know SeyPearl from when we were young but as it got older the Seychellois were saying that our brand is looking tired and that is why we have listened to our consumers and given them something which is trendy and modern,” she said.
She said the new look truly reflects the Seychellois identity with a tropical fresh taste.
A commemorative cake was also cut to mark the special occasion in SBL history.
